Did they add a point on the map in a patch?

I thought that was just me or something. Having the same issue.

Maybe the added RNG to getting that chest or you can only get it once a day or something lolz.

I’m just putting this out there but did you guys have 100% before they added the poi? You won’t get the chest again if that’s the case.

I don’t think I did. I may have but could’ve sworn mine still had a couple places not found before. It may very well have been. >.<

I have a character nearing completion there which is why I asked. Hmm. I guess I’ll find out soon

They added some stuff to the maps because of changes from the Living Story. Something like two POIs and a waypoint to Wayfarer, Diessa Plateau and Snowden Drifts. This happened with last month’s update when they added two NPCs and related instances to the story. If you had 100% completion for these maps the new additions bumped it down to 98% but you don’t get a chest for bringing it back to 100%.

This happened almost two weeks ago so you probably had 100% completion and didn’t notice that it changed. Alternatively, if you had never fully explored those areas and you didn’t get the chest for reaching 100% the first time with that toon, then the changes they made to the maps bugged them. But this is unlikely because by now several thousand people would have run into this exact situation and submitted bug reports about it.

So if you know you had never fully explored the area before, submit a bug report about it, but most likely it was just because they added a POI to the map.

Another solution if it is bugged is go to the Whispers instance (their den place) it for some reason fixes the bug and you get the chest when you exit it.
