I’m not sure if it’s just me or anyone else that is getting this issue. It’s probably minor to some but it keeps getting me killed against world bosses and against heavy mobs within the game.
My playstyle against mobs and particularly against bosses is that I liked to run circles around them, jump back with a dodge or attack through them with 3 and then charge back into them with 5 (Rush) annoyingly, it seems that this attack should say in the description something like.
There’s a 50% chance your warrior will decide he wants to run into the enemy with his face and not do anything. Annoyingly, it doesn’t really seem like the attack can be interrupted, which annoys me even more when you’re running into a boss hoping that the attack is going to land so you can quickly evade whatever returning blow he’s going to deliver. Instead i find myself taking more damage than it’s even worth dishing out with this attack. At the moment it just seems that the only use it has is getting me around the map, which is a shame because not only does it zip me straight to my enemy during combat (which is useful) but it also deals a nice amount of damage (if it decides to hit) if it doesn’t, you’ve got a problem because you’ve left yourself open for a good 2-3 seconds.

Now some might say, don’t use it as an attack. I have tried neglecting its existence.
Sometimes I can’t resist, I mean. It’s there for a reason, right? And other times I accidentally press the wrong skill on the keyboard, which whenever it’s another skill I make this mistake with, it’s fine. But when it’s that one. Disaster, because there’s a chance I might end up trying to attack with my face again -_-

After messing around a little bit more, i find that this only happens against certain bosses. Mainly the larger ones that deal more damage. Doesn’t really make it any less annoying.

That skill has been like that for ages. Reported a bunch of times. Devs are aware of the problem. Tried to fix it in one of the patches. Obviously didn’t quite fix it. Not sure what else to say.

There’s also a weird problem with targeting as far as Rush goes. I can have a mob targeted, hit 5 to Rush to them, and my warrior just goes flying off in a totally different direction to a different mob. Occasionally, he’ll just run off in a random direction where there are no mobs at all. This has caused me to plummet to my death three different times in Ascalonian Catacombs during the Adelbern fight. I even make sure my camera is facing the direction in which I want to Rush, and it doesn’t help at all.

So I never know if I’m going to actually run to what I have targeted, or if my warrior is going to suddenly decide that it’s a great time for suicide and hurl himself off a cliff. Suffice to say, I never use the skill near ledges anymore.

Rush will fail to connect (run in place) if the hitbox of the mob is to large (eventually you’ll learn to see if the red circle is too big). It is still possible to hit the attack assuming you stand inside the red circle. The problem lies in the running part which assumes it was successful as soon as you reach the edge of the hitbox, while the attack part still needs to be within melee range to start.
As to the running into a seemingly random direction, Rush acts like projectile attacks in its initial targeting. If a target moves in a direction, Rush will be targeted in front (as to intercept the target assuming it keeps moving the same way). If the target uses a quick movement skill (like Leap skills), Rush can send you running to a far off land, trying to intercept a perpetually leaping target (which obviously stopped leaping a long time ago). Rush only uses the current facing direction if a non-aggressive target (or no target at all) is selected.
