I’ve encountered a bug during my personal story. Currently going through the first chapter of the norn storyline and everytime I start it up the ground disappears. The only thing I see around me are the rocks, trees, grass, and water under me. My friend joined me and he was experiencing it as well. The ground seemed to not load in properly.

Same here. The graphical background environment for story of Norn map are transparent and you can see under it somewhat a reflection of the top elements. This happens not only in story mode, but when you create a new toon in the Norn race. It causes a bug crash as well for the story section "Travel to Korag’s camp and challege him “Echoes of Ages Past” loading screen".

The Char map is not affected tho as I created a new one (my first Char toon).

For ANet, please see attached player conversation for my test toon created after the November 1 build update. We’ll be waiting for the patch/update for this issue. Many thanks and God speed.

Same for me as well. I’ve been able to play other characters normally, but the norn level 10 personal story I first experienced the ground being transparent until the stage “Echoes of Ages Past” loading screen, then the game crashes and asks me to send in a report on it.

I was about to play one of my alts but when I was about to enter her storyline in ’’A New Challenger’’, but the game itself crashed while there was literally no ground/snow.
Looks like some codes is incorrect or other fun bugs regards this issue.

While attempting to do my Revenant Norn story several instances were bugged without floor textures and then I attempted to go into Echoes of Ages Past and the client crashes. I have tried this with different graphics settings as well as with other party members and their client crashes as well.

Same quest for me but seems a lot of people are experiencing this with various Personal Story missions.

Everyone is getting the same invisible ground graphics glitch too.

Been happening since yesterday morning for me.

Same here, crashed twice while i was trying to play the firs story mode instance with my new Norn character. Does this happen to ALL personal story instances, or just the Norn ones?

I tried to enter with my Norn thief and exact same thing happened to me. Floors were missing. I also tried switching graphic setting and entered 3 times and game crashed all times.

I’ve also gotten all the currently common issues of invisible ground and crashing on certain story steps. Echoes of Ages Past won’t even load for me. It just crashes the game. I’ve tried it about 5 times. All other places I’ve been have been fine. Although I haven’t tried Dredgehaunt Cliffs yet. Just seems like much of the Shiverpeaks are bugged. Could this be pointing to special things going on in these areas? Might be where we’re going for LS3E3.

Same problem here, invisible floor and it keeps crashing at a certain instance. Reported the bug a couple of times but still no solution :/

Is it in the Dredgehaunt Cliffs? That map is broken beyond repair at this moment, return tomorrow or something. I don’t know how long it’ll take to fix, but I wouldn’t linger around there for today

Same here and it’s still there at the level 10 part of the story instance (picture is from the lvl 10 story).

I also get this same error. I cannot continue my story. I tried to repair my game and it did not help.

Same. This must be part of Jormag’s new strategy to defeat the Norn. Step 1: prevent the creation of any new Norn character.

This has also been happenning to me, which is very bad taking into account the game crashes and has made me unable to progress on the norn personal story. This also happened in another instance also in the norn area.

This has also been happenning to me, which is very bad taking into account the game crashes and has made me unable to progress on the norn personal story. This also happened in another instance also in Wayfarer Foothills. I think every instance in Wayfarer Foothills is having this issue.

Consistent crash on attempting to enter the instance. On reentering the game, character is placed at zone entrance not a point of instance.

Repair and rebooting doesn’t work, so I am now unable to progress the story, which spoils the game for me. It’s a shame…

this happened to me today, i started the instance and is i activate the worship stone the game crashes, all the Norn persoal story instances i have entered have been bugger, the ground does not load ! need fix fast.

Same issue here, I thought that was only me, but it also happens to my friend, we can say that this is a bug in the Norn main quest, I continue leveling but we really need the xp of the main quest.

A 100Mb update has been committed a while ago… however, same bug for the story of just the Norn race (i believe, based on my testing with other races). This is getting frustrating for the story adventure of Norn. Missing ground too in the story, AND when you create a level 1 Norn.

Yes, it’s definitely Wayfarer Foothills. No problems when the story was in the city.

Exact same problem here, Just retrying the game to see if I can get interested enough to get the exp and was getting pretty into things until I hit this

It’s still broken as of now i just crashed when trying to do the story. I didn’t have problems just a missing floor but it actually crashed my game this time around.

It’s either not fixed or because I’m still downloading game content I don’t have the fix yet.

How fast do you think the gw2 team would be able to get a fix for this? i just came back to guild wars and i’m kinda sad that i can’t continue the story. was immersing myself pretty well until this.

The “Top People” might want us not to create Norn toons anymore. Or perhaps they were influenced by Jormag for annihilating the Norn race Just kidding. Thanks for letting us know GM Awesomeness!

That would make me so sad. i wanted to stop him and his group for worshiping the dragon god thing.

It’s something wrong with it. Crashes for me to. If they have fixed it, then something else is broken now. Can’t advance the story line…

This is happening to me as well. As well as certain norn story instances just out right crashing the game.

Yeah…crashing when trying to enter the save Wolf Havruon as well. The previous story instanced zones had some texture problems (NO FLOOR! I’m running on air!), but as they were visual and not an issue for me, I ignored it in favor of furthering the story aaaand, well, now the story no longer works. Here’s to hoping the poor Norn’s get to finish our story quests! <3

I’ve got the same issue, but with “The Wolf Havroun” Level 10. Crashes upon trying to enter story instance at loading screen.

i created a norn and this happen like every single one
not only that when i start doing the story at level 10 “the wild spirit” i crash out please tell tell me that i’m i the only one have this bugs or this is a common thing ?

I end up with the same problem Somnus. I was able to get through the first 2 instances, but the 3rd (Echoes of Ages Past) outright crashes my client every time I try to load it. It seems like a large amount of other people are getting the same problem.
