I reported this earlier in the week via in-game, just posting here just to make sure.

The weapon skill Shield of Absorption doesn’t allow me to follow up with the skill Detonate, even though the tooltip for it appears in the action bar when you hover over it. This is during PvE.

Other Guardian users have said the same thing, but some have said it does work as intended in PvP.

Yes, I would like to tap into this thread as well. Without it, the shields are sort of weak compared to the focus defensively.

I also experience this, although I cant remember ever seeing it on the toolbar either. Has the skill been removed?

The tooltip does appear for me, though now it just doubles up as Shield of Absorption instead of the Detonate.

Attached a screenshot just to show (had to use Steam’s one since the ingame screenshot feature didn’t show tooltips). As of last night’s patch, it still hasn’t been fixed.

As someone said earlier, not having does hurt Shield’s utility as a choice for Guardians.

I also can’t detonate, haven’t tried it in PvP though.

I haven’t been able to detonate ever throughout the betas and stress tests either.

Some Guardian friends have mentioned it works flawlessly in sPvP. I always thought that the skill was working as intended but started doubting after my friends told me about the PvP experience.

Same here. Reported the bug last week via the in-game tool. Hope to see a fix soon, I would love to detonate it !

This is why shields suck so much right now and practically every guardian in the game is wielding a greatsword.

Well, I been using a mace and a shield but yeah the greatsword abilities are flipping fantastic and go well together. Its my secondary weapon I switch to once in a while.

Same issue here, but I don’t remember this working for me in beta either so seems like a long over due fix. Still using shield anyway
