Guardian hp bugged?
are you sure you have the same traits allocated my guess is you have put into vitality and toughness on warrior and not the guardian.
That’s not a bug. Guardian was designed to have much less HP than Warrior.
Predator beat me to it, Guardian isnt really a soldier class, it equivalent to the dervish in gw1, just less health, there are many reasons for this, main reason, there not a TANK per say…nothing is really meant to be a tank, war does good, but tisnt suppose to be, a guardian is suppose to be a support midliner, wich means it gets to tank position, but uses it symbols etc to support/buff and keep the party stable, where as warrior is a no brain crug smash style of play(well in gw1 anyway), its still a DPS and heavy character, so really could tank if it wanted to, but for now, let people get use to the non trinity affect.
So Guardian lose 33% of their hp because they can "support? Considering all classes should be able to support, heal, tank dps to some degree.
Guardian is mostly a melee in your face with a few ranged options compare to other classes. So why should they also get Hp of a caster?

The main reason they have a lower HP pool is their Virtues. Virtue of Resolve gives them constant HP regen, and Virtue of Courage nullifies an attack every 40 seconds, which greatly improves their survivability.
Since they always have these (assuming you don’t pop them for group support), they needed a lower HP pool for balance. If they had Warrior level health with these benefits, they would be greatly overpowered.

As mentioned by the guy above the Virtues play a part, another thing is: if the guardian deside to go face to face they have “passive healing” from their attacks, all their greatsword attacks heal them for a portion of the dmg dealt (grandmaster trait), one hander the mace “1” attack have a builtin heal from auto attacks, sword have a blind and a projectile shield etc where the warriors more or less only have different sorts of dmg migitation skills (if they even have that, havent played my warrior that much yet) but as a trade off the warrior have a bit more health and deal quite a lot more damage
Zealous Blade is still broken from Beta as far as I can tell. Been smashing training dudes in Mist all night last night, never saw a single heal pop up.
Loss of hp on a guardian is very tough now due to everyone running a condition dmg build, which soaks through our hps pretty quick. Toughness doesn’t help condition dmg at all, so we are basically forced to dump a full trait line into Vitality to have any face to face survival.
Passive healing heh, doesnt matter in pvp you get burst down.
^If you’re dying fast as a Guardian, you’re doing it wrong.
I’m just saying the 25hp you get for swinging your greatsword is not what I rely on to stay alive.

Totally agree, do you actually see the 25hp green heal numbers come up? I don’t even see that.
Yes i do, its 25 hp per target hit… whirling wrath hits a bunch of time so you see alot of 25hp pop up
In any case, not a bug. Different professions have different base health values. Just from memory,
Low: guardian, thief, elementalist
Medium: ranger, engineer, mesmer
High: warrior, necromancer
