I am one of the main officers in The Order of Digital Knightz [DKz] which is situated on the North American Borlis Pass server. Earlier, at around 7pm server time on Wednesday, 24th of April, me and 30 of my guild mates attempted a Guild Challenge. As luck would have it, we got Deep Trouble.

After making sufficient preparations and organizing ourselves we started the Challenge. We escorted all 10 quaggans to their safe spots in the allocated time and all of us received a reward chest with 2 commendations, 2 rares (1 guild mate got an exotic) and 50 silver.

Unfortunately, not long after, it was noted that we hadn’t actually received the 30 merits for the successful completion of the mission. In fact, when we went to the Missions tab on the Upgrades window, it did not show that Guild Challenge has been completed for the week, but that the mission was still active.

I went back to the starting point and when I interacted with it, I found that I could begin the mission again. Since we had most of our members still on, we decided that we should attempt it one more time, despite the fact that we had already completed it once and gotten a personal reward. Everyone agreed that we should get the guild the 30 merrits.

Sadly, on that second attempt one of the quaggans died and we failed the mission. I am reporting this, because despite the fact that we got our personal rewards, we still managed to complete the mission the first time and the guild was cheated from those 30 merits. What is even worse, we decided to attempt another guild challenge to get the merits and hope that we would get a different one. However, neither me nor any of the other officers was able to activate a Guild Challenge mission. In fact, the whole guild interface had bugged – we were unable to activate any other missions or queue any upgrades.

I am writing this to make the Anet developers aware of this possible issue and to see if any other guilds have had this happen to them. This Saturday, we’ve scheduled another Guild Challenge before the weekly mission reset and I do hope that whatever the issue was it would not happen again or it would have been resolved by then.

Yes, me and the 30 other guild mates we had there can attest to this. I’d never seen this happen before, so I’m wondering if it’s related specifically to Challenges or not. I know for a fact we received an Event complete reward after we finished.

Please fix and restore our lost merits… Its nice that we got the personal rewards but still hate for the guild to suffer because of a silly bug. TY.

Just completed, same issue.

My guild on Dragonbrand had the same exact issue and I submitted a ticket and got the usual copy + paste reply telling me to report the bug (already done) and check the forum (already done) and basically “yes we are aware of this problem, sorry but we will not give you the merits you earned.. too bad.”

They claim to be unable to grant the merits which is ridiculous.

Funny how they are so fast to fix problems that effect the economy (gem store profits) but when it comes to fixing issues that only effect customers they are just “unable” to do anything about it.

Really disappointed in support and the general lack of respect and insulting canned responses to legit requests for help.

They know this bug exists. It is on their end. Why should we get cheated out of 30 merits and a week of our time because they are “unable” to fix a problem on their end?

It makes no sense.

As of right now we are scared to even try another Challenge for fear it will happen again.. and a few people on our server had the same issue. No idea what causes it or how to avoid it. So I guess it will take us a lot longer to build Guild Puzzles now.. let’s hope those work as they should I guess.

This happened with my guild as well, we have completed the challenge twice this week, for members person rewards. And I just realised last night, that we didn’t get any merit for it. When we finish the challenge (Blightwater Shatterstrike) both times, the 5hr count down was still on for the challenge, and 5hrs later we failed, even though we have completed it. Please, find a way to fix this.

This exact same thing just happened to our guild “Tinfoil Hat Conspiracy [LiES]” Today at around 7pm EST. We completed the Blightwater shatterstrike guild challenge AND the Bear Lope Guild rush. However, we did not receive guild merits for them although they were completed on time, and all members received persona Rewards. It’s not easy to get our guild online at the same time, we would like our rewards to be added.

If a Dev. could please respond to this thread, which is nearly a month old.
