I’ve noticed there is the possibility to assign more people as leader, by doing that the founder of the guild is unable to change the rank of the person with the same rank as him.

It is easily to make a small mistake and assign someone leader since there is no confirmation pop-up that asks you if you are sure you want to make the person leader too.

I think it’s good to make more leaders but the founder of the legion should still be able to change the other leaders rank and able to kick them altho the rank title should stay the same for all the leaders.

I don’t know if it was guild wars 2 intentions to make multiple leaders if so like i said it would be nice for the founder to revert the progress at any time.

Hopefully some dev can clear up some information about this,

Theres an easy solution that I used in my guild. We created a new rang, that had the samme priviliges as the leader rang and put those in that was supposed to have full access. The “old leader” rank then still have the option to demote those with the “new leader” rang, if the need arise.

i understand that but there is still a problem that u can accidentally give someone the highest rank and you won’t be able to change it back.

I gave my friend leader aswell and it’s not that i didn’t want it but there is no way i can demote him now. There was also no pop-up that asked for confirmation, so if u give some new member by accident the highest rank you won’t be able to do anything against him and if it’s an irritating kid he can mess up the whole guild

I agree that it is an easy mistake to make someone a Guild Leader. We have a CO-OP in our Guild (two Leaders). Another member was accidentally made a Leader and there is no way to change that? Is there anything that can be done? This person should not have been given full access.

there is no fix or sort of update for this, i agree it’s annoying and no information from any of the Anet staff

As said before in other post, Confirmation should be there. You might promote by accident now.

yeah this same post was started 23 days ago ppl all complained already anet didn’t do kitten its very annoying best you can do is ask them to please demote them self or try the fix that Glox suggested. and next time try the search function ppl keep reposting same stuff no wonder anet don’t fix half of it they prolly stopped reading the forums lol

The fix of Glox aint working, you can’t change the other person his rank so there is no way i can change the 2nd leader his rank to another rank unless he’s doing it by himself.

If it would be a random guy the problem would still be the same and this wouldn’t be a fix because the 2nd leader (random person) wouldn’t change his rank and he can still mess with the guild

i have not tried what glox had suggested i got lucky and both ppl i put as leader willingly dropped as i remade new ranks so noone stole anything.
best we can do is keep bugging anet but since this has been goin on since prelaunch and they have done nothing nor replied i doubt to see a change anytime soon.
just be carefull on what you click and pray any mistake the person isnt a kitten about it when you ask him to demote.

I discovered this same guild leader bug and the person I made co-leader won’t even demote them self when asked nicely.

I agree it does cause problems like theft from the guild bank kicking people they don’t like out of the guild. Here is a disappointing response from support I got.

Sadly you will need to request of these members to demote themselves back to the appropriate rank. We are unable to affect guilds in such a way. Thank you for your time and understanding in this matter.
