Guild Trek Not triggering.
It bugs out if a lot of players try trigger the same symbol at the same time. Easiest way around it is to have everyone just stand next to the symbol without pressing F, and just 1 person triggering.
Not the case, because I have done so solo and still had it not trigger. It has little to do with the number of people. And even if it was set up that way, it’s still broken and needs to be fixed.
I suspect that there’s a a pulsing aspect to the trigger, so it delays for a bit. I’ve never had trouble with it eventually triggering. Of course, it’s hard to wait if only a few players are scrambling to complete a bunch during the time limit.
I recommend pressing [f] just once (or 2-3 times if you’re unsure that you pressed it) and then waiting about 10-15 seconds.
Regardless, each time it is delayed “unacceptably” by your standards, create an in-game /bug report ticket, so that ANet can data about the specific trek location, the instance you’re in, etc — that will help them troubleshoot. (Of course, assuming you can afford the time it takes to fill out the in-game form.)
Our guild has encountered situations so bad we had one that was discovered at the beginning of a trek, and we lost the trek because it never triggered. It was not a bunch of people standing on it, or one person clicking over and over and over. There’s just delay, and the time varies greatly. Sometimes to the point that it just won’t trigger. This is a broken mechanic that needs fixing. And all the sarcasm in the world won’t change that fact.
