I use /g and Im also representing In my guild but whenever I try and send a message it just says “You are not in a guild”

I also have the same issue; upon standing down and representing again, I am able to say things in Guild chat, but the message “No-one hears you” appears, and nor am I able to see what other members of the guild are saying.

Same here. Im the guild leader.

Logging in and out worked for me to resolve this problem. Also stand down/represent a different guild, then go back to representing your current guild.

map chat didn’t work for me either…

Standing down then representing again did not work for me.

Did you restart your client after you updated the patch?

Yes, didn’t work either. Just did it again just in case, still can’t chat nor see guild channel.

Sorry none of those worked. I don’t have any other suggestions personally.

I can’t talk in guild chat either. I can use the chat in my storage guild but the main guild im in doesn’t work.

Check your visibility status on the Contacts and LFG tool. I know that if you are “Invisible” you cannot see or use guild chat. I do not know about any of the other channels but it is possible you might be squelched in map chat as well if you are invisible.

I had the same issue, switching from visible to invisible and then back again seems to have fixed it for me

Try standing down and representing outside in an explorable area. This bug seems to happen only in towns, and fixes itself when you’re out in the world.

I can’t say this assertion is not true (at least on my side) : right now i’m facing this bug and i was outside town (Gendarran Fields) when it occured (in fact, a) everything was ok and i was in Gendarran, b) I restarted the client to get rid of another bug, c) once loggued again, i was alone with my guild as not available / nothing hear / and so on. Another restart hasn’t resolved the issue. And neither has going in and out from Lion’s Arch).

So, I had the guild chat issue and tried sanding down and representing again, logging off and back on. What seemed to work was going invis then vis again.

I was in Divinity’s Reach on Toast.

The chat issue was because of the maintenance that was going on. It was also causing party issues, but the maintenance is over now so it’s back to normal. If you’re still having any problems, try restarting your client (not just logging out).

I usually solve it by leaving guild and have someone invite me again. In my case as a GM this means making an officer GM for a minute and he bumps himself downs again. This fixed it. And in this way I learned a new thing:

You cannot access guild bank unless you have been in the guild for 72 hours. I guess this to prevent a lot of scamming to happen. Now I am the GM of my guild without access to my own guilbank ;-) . Not really a problem for me at the moment, but something to take into account with respect with this bug, as leaving the guild is no longer a real viable option for fixing it.
