Logged in players are disconnected after a certain amount of time, correct? For me it was 7 to 8 minutes after I set my status to ‘Away.’ But I think it still varies.

I’m experiencing some weird issue right now. My guildmate is showing as online after he logs off, but he’s supposed to be offline already. He’d be ‘on’ for more than 2 days sometimes without responding to anything. I’m also still able to whisper to him, but no response. His location stays to where he ‘logs off’ of.

When he is active, his location changes, responds in guild chat and participates in our dungeon runs.

I can’t decide whether he is using a third-party program or if it’s a bug. Or maybe he just stays silent consistently and would wake up just to keep his character online.

There was another guildmate that this was happening to and he never responded at all for weeks even after mailing or whispering to him. His character would stay logged in for more than 2 days sometimes so I removed him from the guild out of suspicion.

It would be great to get an answer to this. Thank you.

I’ve been having somewhat the same problem. People are talking in GC and when I hower over their name, it shows them as offline. Also, people I have on my friends list are offline if I hower over their name.
But, as soon as I open my friends list (y), it takes 2 seconds, then when I hower, they show as online, same with the guild (g) when I open the guild roster.

It can be very annoying when I want to invite them to a party, since I don’t get an option to “Invite to party”.

My case is the player becomes ‘frozen’ as being online (At least that’s what it looks like) and without any progress. Their location stays to where it is for days when they ‘log off.’ They’re also online in my Friends List and I could invite them to a party, but they never accept.

if your are logged in your account on the website, the person is show online in the game.

and every person on characterscreen is showing as online.

He’s on his character while appearing online. Your answer is close but there’s still something missing about it.

I understand that if you’re at the character selection screen, you will appear online. But it’ll only show the person’s account and no character name.
