Hi,

the second gw2 Birthday happend now more then 4 month ago. So in only 8 month will be the third birthday. Update after update I login and hope the birthday experience scrolls may be finally stackable…. Well, is there ANY chance that you may fix the bug with the (20 lvl) experience scrolls?

It would be great if we could stack 1st and 2nd birthday scrolls, like it should have been from the beginning…

That would be nice, but I doubt it’s going to happen. They’ve been like that since we got them. They’re exactly the same and there is no reason they shouldn’t stack…but alas they give us another non-stackable item to take up even more bank space. -_-

btw. last Update still didn’t fix it…

Technically they aren’t exactly the same – the current ones are account bound, but the ones from the first birthday say they are “account bound on acquire” – which doesn’t change into account bound even when transfering from bank to characters and back. I guess the problem comes from the fact they were soulbound originally and were reset to account bound later on.

Yes, and they probably won’t ever stack (or if they do, it won’t happen until the next birthday). There’s no need to bump this thread every two weeks.

Because of all the problems with the last patch I waited some days, but still birthday booster don’t stack.

Well, add to the list of stacking items to fix:

Those do stack; there’s just a bug with account bound items right now. Take them into your inventory, change maps or log out, go back to a bank, and then they’ll restack.

Almost all items listed as ‘Account Bound on Acquire’ can be turned into ‘Account Bound’ by changing maps/logging out, etc. This enables you to ‘acquire’ them and in turn, stack them with the other ‘Account Bound’ items.

I know this works for Bank Access Express. I only have the two GoE, so I haven’t tried with those.

They don’t stack because they have different item IDs, so I speculate they were intended to offer different bonuses. I suppose ANet could spend resources to convert all the existing “twos” to “ones,” but even though that might be easy, I’m not sure their staff wouldn’t be better off working on one of the other issues that annoy us.

I’d be happy if they at least changed the display names, so we know what should stack and what shouldn’t.

You can also add Black Lion Claim Ticket Scraps and Trading Post Expresses to the list – those are now also not stacking. It appears that if/when you drop these items from the daily Log-In Rewards chest, that’s when they don’t stack.

Different issue entirely. The one you mention is a new bug affecting items with identical IDs; the OP’s concern is about items with identical names, but different IDs.

(Inculpatus cedo’s post links to the relevant thread, which includes a work-around: put all the non-stacking items into inventory, change maps/log out and return.)

Actually only the Birthday experience scrolls are really broken (different IDs). All other items can be fixed by taking them into your inventory and relog.

btw. let’s see if anet changes something tomorrow about the ID issue… just 4 month to go until 3rd birthday.

It may be years before they stack. I think the Devs are aware. No real need to bump the thread.

Third birthday soon and these awesome scrolls still don’t stack…

So whatever happens on third gw2 birthday, please don’t give us the next unstackable 20 lvl scroll!!!

Now we have 3 different kind of these beautiful scrolls and you even did limit chestruns to one per week….

I really wish at least one person at anet would think about any way how we can use these awesome scrolls!

(Would it really have been so hard to only limit f2p accounts on receiving one blc key/week???)
