BUG Description:

Nothing happens/progresses after killing the vision of the Pale Tree in the story instance Hearts and Minds, Act 4.

BUG Scenario:

- I downed whilst getting the Pale Tree to about 5% HP left.
- Caithe started rezzing me.
- I killed the Pale Tree at pretty much the same time as Caithe had rezzed me.
- Pale Tree vision disappears and nothing happens.
- Only things left are respawning firstborn NPCs to kill and the damaging pulses/attacks left by the Pale Tree vision

What I then tried:

- Killed myself in the left over pulses of the Pale Tree.
- Spawned back to ‘re-try’ mode area.
- As soon as I went back in it was WORSE as there is nothing to interact with in there. No Enemies. No NPCs. Simply “Defeat the Vision of the Pale Tree” when there is nothing around to interact with.

Please fix this; I had to quit the game to get out and now I’m about to try again and hope it doesn’t bug out once more…

This happened to me too! Soooo annoyingggg!!!!

Just had it happen to me too. Decided to try standing in the center to let the pulses kill me and Caithe. Got to the “Reset Orb” and when I went back down, no pulses, but no boss to kill… Guess I gotta retry?

Still happens….

Tried twice, won’t update after defeating pale tree, almost 2 hrs wasted. Please fix.

I am also getting this error. I didn’t die in the fight, I just carried on and killed the pale tree, but nothing happened afterwards. The firstborns keep appearing but no matter how many I kill or if I leave them reach the center, nothing changes. It’s been months since this bug has been reported, please fix it.

Well let’s report this bug again.. ANet please fix this! Very frustrating to get this far only to have the game screw up and nothing happen but an empty pulsing spot that kills you… NOTHING! Come on people!
