HOPE IV: The Catalyst - Canyon Spider Queen
You can try guesting to another World, checking to see if you have changed IPs.
You can check right after a patch which resets stalled events.

I’m left with my last collection for HOPE IV: The Catalyst to kill the Canyon Spider Queen which triggers/spawns from a group event, “Help Gunnkell hunt down the champion canyon spider queen” near Vorgas Garrison Waypoint.
After which someone mentions in a youtube comment that it now starts from the NPC, Ezoola southeast from Snow Ridge Camp.
I have looked all around that area for Ezoola still unable to find that NPC and Vorgas Garrison Waypoint has been contested for hours now and still no quest nor events in that area. Been more than half a day and still contested NPC nowhere to be found.
Canyon Spider Queen also spawns in Challdar Gorges in Bloodtide Coast according to Wiki. I’ve tried killing the Champ hoping i might get lucky but it doesn’t give me the achievement either.
If only the spawn from Fireheart Rise is meant to be counted as for the achievement than I’m stuck since the quest seems to be bugged or am i doing something wrong?
Can’t find anyone else having this problem except 1 reddit post which was last Sept 2016.
Any engin that has done this can guide or give some pointers as to whats wrong?
Try and try again. I had to do it twice because it didnt give me anything. The NPC for the hunt spawns when you have retaken the fort (just above the canyon). The NPC to retake it spawns all the way up north in the little camp.
You can also just run past the canyon every now and then to see if the champ is up. I did that first time and got “lucky” – but the spider was killed just before I got there, lol.
Yeah it looks bugged.
I found Ezoola south east of Snow Ridge Camp waypoint but she appears to be stuck there and unresponsive. I’ve also camped the Icespear’s Shelf area (where the chain event to uncontesting Vorgas Garrison originates) but the chain event just wouldn’t progress.

Bugged for me too. How do you fix that? Does it ever reset? Only thing I could think of would be wait until a patch or else recruit tons of people to the map to open another one
Anyway, I submitted a bug for it.

She’s stuck outside Snow Ridge Camp Waypoint. No events will start or complete.
Well it seems that this quest has been bugged for some people for more than ten days. does this mean that maint. / server reset doesn’t fix it? just have to hope for the best.

from this link it seems like support is ignoring this issue to concentrate on Living world new ep. and the release new Leg armors. sigh. so much for support

Not necessarily. It could be reset by a patch, which IIRC was more than 10 days ago. Next should be on Tuesday? I think. Post in the support forum and submit a bug in game to try and get some attention on it.

Completely unresponsive or does she have dialogue? Just curious. Keep in mind you also need to complete the gathering event way to the sw of the camp.
NPC stuck standing awkwardly way outside of the camp. No gathering event is active. Her dialogue ends in “I don’t have time for this”, which is fitting because that’s how I feel about this event. We tried luring some aoe mobs to come kill her, but they have no effect.
EDIT: FOUND A MAP! maybe? A jumping puzzle train came on map, which spawned another instance. I think I might be on a working map. I’ll be on for a few hours to see if the chain works. party me in game if you want to join the map

It’s working fine. The wiki just isn’t very good at explaining the specifics on how to trigger it.
After the defend event fails, it takes about 10 min until the meta chain starts back up. You do this from collecting ice cores up to the defend event. After which the NPC will run to the camp. He’ll stand there for maybe 3 minutes before the quest icon pops up above his head. After killing the champ, which can be done with any ranged attack if you can dodge the pulls, he’ll run back to the ice shelf camp. About 25 minutes from when the defend event completed, it starts up again. Once that completes, the quest NPC comes back and the cycle starts over.

It wasn’t working fine. The map might be fixed now, but the NPC was stuck way out southeast of the waypoint (not the vorgas one, the north one) for almost 2 weeks. There were no events active in the chain.

No. She doesn’t go with the elemental escort and she states so in the event dialogue when it starts up.
Agent Tewson: Aren’t you going to follow them to make sure the job is done?
Ezoola: Are you crazy? It’s dangerous! I’ll leave them on their own, the better to not lose any hair.

I believe at some point she is at Vorgas Garrison (possibly after it’s secured), then walks back to her starting point by the waypoint.
At the time, she was definitely stuck way southeast of it, as Heliocredo.7012 can confirm. We met up in game, tried everything we could to get her to move, but she was bugged.

I never saw her there and the wiki doesn’t suggest that she goes there.

The bug itself may be that she got moved outside of her normal path she makes around that WP when interacting with the other NPC’s.
