Guild Wars 2

Hey, there are a group of 5-6 characters at the Straits of Devastation quest line on Jade Quarry who are obviously hacking and botting at the same time and have been doing so for days without any recourse. Who knows how much gold farming they have going on.

They’re in brown armor, and teleport all over the place attacking mobs instantly at the same time. There are certain teleport locations they warp to and even teleport on top of mobs they kill – as a group – to loot. It’s so blatant. I’ve never seen anything so blatant in an MMO to date.

I caught most of the names in the screen shot, but there are a few others. The guys in brown armor. Just completely obvious. I didn’t expect to see them after a day or two, and now they’ve been doing this for days and days. What is the course of action on your guys’ part for this? Do you not have anyone to go through and monitor this activity? I’m in Bellevue, I’ll work for free doing quality control for you guys keeping the game clear of this kind of stuff if you don’t have anyone else doing it.

There is little to no anti-cheat in this game. Likely Bot Wars 2 will eventually have more bots than humans playing. Sad but true. My guild has reported bots, and they still see them in the same spots 24/7 for over a week!
Been reporting these guys all day, but they continue to rake it in.

Does Anet even care? I’ve reported people several weeks ago… they are still playing, still botting. I know they have priorities, but at least let us know that action will be taken.

Give it time gentlemen, they are busy enough as it is.

Botting can only be stopped by active server GM/DMing.

There are hundreds and hundreds of bots on all servers,even the low population servers.

Merciless daily perma bans is all that will deter botters,pro and amateur alike.

First question botter asks himself,can I bot long enough to achieve my goal financially ?

Answer for GW2 ? obviously yes.

I must admit it feels like its a free for all. No penalties involved.

Well, those guys are still there today. I guess I should get whatever program they’re using and start botting while I sleep then. I mean, if it’s going to go unchecked, why not!

I know that I have reported probably a dozen botters, and yet nothing has been done. They are there day after day, stealing kills and drops that should be going to people that are really there playing. The ones I mainly see are the ones farming blood, used for crafting. They are up the entire river, and are stealing in my opinion, materials that they are probably selling on the TP.

I am just wondering why Arena Net is not addressing this.
