Maybe this is a little bit of a nit picky topic, but I’ve noticed in the last 3 days, the accessory hair piece on my charr has changed from a rusty silver colour to a bright red colour. I’ve not used any make over kits, so I’m not sure what could’ve caused this, I just thought I’d post here, so you’re aware of it and see if anyone else is having the same problem.

They’ve been silvery from launch and I’ve never had an issue like this before o:

Hiya, I just want to say that I second this (thanks to original poster)!- I understand it’s a small thing too but I am having the same exact problem. This is my main character and I can’t help but care, haha- my charr has that same hairstyle w/the metal rings and it’s showing up as red, and it was also originally the same rusty color as the original poster. (I think tarnished steel? Been a while.) This has started showing up for me since the recent back to school patch (or I at least noticed since signing on today). I haven’t used any make-over kits either. Thanks!

I’m having the same issues. When the SAB patch came out, my charr’s hair bangles became an obnoxious neon magenta instead of the silvery purple it was before. There is also now a prominent black shadow around the base of the hair as well.

Didn’t use an appearance kit either. 8C

Also getting this problem. Quite irritating, I think the rings are displaying the base colour you choose to change the tint of the rings.

I think you’re right Ekazu. I’m having the exact same issue. Really wish it would be acknowledged. Better yet, I wish they would fix it.

If I may also be nit-picky, my female Asura’s hair ribbon got darker purple a couple weeks ago, and the pink accent square is now goldish. My armor was all color-matched to that little thing, mainly because it is not dyeable.

SUGGESTION (yes, I put this in the suggestions area too). When head armor is UNchecked (not shown), it should have a single color channel reserved for dying accessories.

Bumping this because I have just found the same issue on my Asura (hair with the two braided buns.) The ribbons were the antique gold colour but are now a darker brass or gold which does not look as nice.

Is this a bug or do we need to buy a kit if we want to change it?

Kit doesn’t help unless you can find a new color you like. Which is unfortunate because there are so very few choices. Reselecting the same color will not lighten it again. And all the ribbons now have gold squares at the end. Thpppt!

I repeat my suggestion:

When head armor is unequipped, you should have one dye channel that controls the color of hair accessories.

Do the same with chest and leg armor. When they are unequipped, give us one dye channel to color our undies.

This has been a problem for both myself and my fiance as well. She already used a hairstyle kit to try to fix it and not only did she settle on a color she thought would be passable, when actually applied it came out a completely different red. She’s sending a ticket to anet, but hopefully between the form and this we should get some kind okittennowledgment

I think you are posting about a different issue, especially as this thread is 3 years old. There is/are thread(s) addressing the current issue you might consider posting in.
