Still unable to participate in any of the Elder Dragon events – As soon as event starts its Open Sores …I mean, Lost Shores style flashing skill icons, freezing in place, rubberbanding, dc’s and forbid I should actually be able to hit, let alone kill something.

So while people discuss the merits of chest loot restrictions, pre-cursor rates or anything else associated with these events, I’ll just sit here with my broken, formerly working game wondering when I can get back to doing them.

I would like to think I am patient, and have been, but it wears thin – very thin.

This could be 2 things:

- internet connection issues
- pc framerate

i am inclined to believe it is a connection issue since you are DCing.

Are you behind a firewall? router? going through wifi? Try connecting directly to your isp modem and bypass the router. Do you still have issues? Try connecting via an ethernet adapter not wifi. Wired can be ~ 20x faster than wireless.

Do you have other applications open in the background. Are you uploading data? Is someone on your network uploading tons of data. That slows down overall internet speeds and can cause problems as well.

Do you have QoS enabled for GW2 to prioritize the packets being sent? Guild Wars 2 requires TCP ports 80, 443, 6112 and port 6600 be fully unrestricted and accessible, both inbound and outbound.

GW2 is notoriously straining on an internet connection – especially in those high density areas with tons of people. You can look for other posts about DC/GW2 disconnects my internet.

I strongly recommend that you contact support. Whatever is going on is, at least in part, specific to your rig and internet connection (cable|wireless + router + ISP). Support can help you troubleshoot this and make recommendations.
