Halla Corpseflayer Event
been watching someone aoe farm this for 30 min, non stop mob spawns that drop loot an give xp….. doesnt seem like a exploit at all… even after explaining we didnt have to kill the mobs

I’m sure a few people will take advantage of it like that, and that’s why the event needs to be changed. It blocks progression of the quest line too. It really is just bad design for a world event.
Going in and killing mobs is the norm for events, and when one changes that up, and you kill mobs and get called an exploiter, it’s really annoying. I don’t think it’s something you’d get banned for, but it upsets new players to the event, and people trying to progress the actual quest line and finish the event.
It’s way too complicated.
Lmao I was there trying to complete the event. I enraged the mobs, lured it to Halla so they can fight. Then a group of people came up started farming while I tried to explain how to complete it. But one particular guy told me off (lol) specifically wanted to farm it instead of completing it so I just sat down. Then after Halla finally went down and completed the event, he went up to me saying I was exploiting? For just sitting there? Lol.
I saw a group last night farming it, and I wanted the event to progress so I kited more mobs into it than they could possibly handle and also keep Halla safe. I’m not angry at them for farming it, though.. everyone needs money and drops, I understand. The event is just set up badly, they’re doing what they feel they need to.. And so am I. It’s just unfortunate that the game has caused our interests to conflict. I’m not going to go and report them over it because I don’t see how just killing a bunch of mobs is exactly exploiting.
Was this on Tarnished Coast by any chance?
People are a bit too quick to start yelling about exploits. Not everyone is obligated to play the same way.

You could just ignore them. If they are going to whine and complain about it, then they are not even worth the time of responding. It is one event and there are many others to do. If they do not like it, they can find a different event easily to do. It is an event that presents an opportunity to prolong it as long as you can or want.
