Guild Wars 2

I got the halo today, and I’m super happy with it. However, using ANY kind of transformation (Mist Form, Tornado, or the kodan hammer transformation in eotm) will remove the halo upon leaving the transformation. I don’t know if this is intended, but it’s really annoying to say the least.

Anyone else have similar happenings? I understand you need to reapply it on a map change, but every time I use mist form? sigh

Edit: also just getting downed removes the effect.

I too love this halo potion, it’s marvelous.

Transitioning maps and being removed when downed or ending transformation, are small quality of life issues that if improved would be most welcome.

My main concern with the Halo, it acts as a mesmer target. Clones do not have the halo making it very easy to know which one is the real mesmer. In WvW this puts one at a somewhat of a disadvantage and I was really looking forward to using it there.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that for mesmers. That would be a very big issue on the wvw front. Let’s hope all these issues get resolved, especially those that give a small bonus to other players, ‘cause that’s just unfair. Cheers~

I’m also using it on my Mesmer and would really appreciate it if ANet could fix it so that clones will also have a halo.

I’m sad I got it for the following reasons;

- Disappears on transformation
- Can’t be used in Dungeons
- Doesn’t go onto your clones, making it a no-no for Mesmers

And I’m a bit disappointed with the looks in almost every angle except the one the preview picture from the patchnotes came with, but hopefully it only bothers me.

I am Asura and my head is same size as any bloody Sylvari. It’s mabye even bigger, than some stinky Norn heads.
So could you please tell me, why is my hallo almost tree times smaller? Is this beginning of some kind of racist tyranie???

Does it disappear when you hit death shroud? If so, worthless for me

I have no idea why they didnt just make this a head piece instead. It would fix all issues.

They didn’t make it a head piece so it could be used with one (for those that want to). I love the idea, but it wasn’t well thought out. I’ll check it out with DS for you, nekretaal real fast, but I assume that’ll be okay, but who knows.

Edit: Checked Death Shroud and it works just fine!

Im more annoyed by the fact that you can’t use it in dungeons. -_- I don’t understand why they had to put this restriction.

If you’re an asura Mesmer you’ll have no problems. They’re nearly impossible to see on asura anyway so nobody will be able to tell the difference.

It would be great to find out that this was a glitch all along. I’d like to see my Asura with a reasonably flawless halo.

I mean, I play Mesmer, but I don’t really mind taking the halo off in WvW. I just really care about the size.
