‘Defend the Skritt Thieves while they steal Harpy eggs’ is the event name, it’s in the top left of Harathi Hinterlands and is the only way to acquire Harpy Feathers which are a PvE necessity in my opinion.
Description of the bug: The progress on the event bar displays that the Harpy Matriarch has no health (when he clearly does) and upon death the progress displays that he has a seemingly random amount of health left, after which the event remains bugged until all the thieves managed to die.
The bug can’t be fixed through resetting.
Another note is that I haven’t tried it on other server instances so I’m not sure if this bug is global though I’m willing to assume so.
I have never been able to do this dynamic event, since the Harpy Matriach can never be found despite of having partially filled health bar in event window on the top right corner.
I’ve tried to lure mobs to the skritt to kill them, rezzing all the skrit, stay at the location for over 20 minutes, but nothing happens. The skritts stays in place, the harpy unaggroed, and the matriach never shows up.
Yeah, this event is never working properly when I’m in that area. Not a single time, since launch. I’m sure it’s worked at some point, but I’ve never been around to see it.
I got my stack of 250 last night on my home server Yaks Bend. Had to reset a bugged event, several times cause of players interfering. But it does work if you do it solo, or get cooperation from others. As long as you let the Skritt attack Matriarch first on the second wave, and let her finish her dialogue. But if you kill her quickly it will bug out, and you’ll have to get the harpies to kill the Skritt to reset the event. Putting in a timer to auto-fail the event if it bugs would help this event out a lot. I’ve seen the event bugged out for hours if not days at a time.
