Just tried 2 attempts at Hearts of minds. thought ill give it ago once more after the many bugs it had form start. Was very dissapointed. to find our host of party Dc and we all get kicked at last boss.. we think ok, bad luck and try again. we find new player and open the quest.When we finish it all and get to Terherne he bugg out and the party leader could not move or use skills. nor talk to treherene to end story. hence 1½ hour wasted. I see you at Arenanet used the months to fix the bugs it had form start. but only to make new. GG*

Being snarky/rude isn’t gonna make them fix things faster.
And this bug sounds like bad luck, the only real bug here is trahaerne not functioning which, frankly? isn’t new.
Non-functioning NPCs have cursed this game since the beginning of time.

Since its been there from start one should think they actually would fix them..Not trying to be rude or i would have said somthing like"Anet you dont give a S*** about your players only gemstore" so again not rude, just very dissapointed.

Not everything is easy to fix, and especially things like this that likely happen for different reasons every single time are challenging to keep in check.
Sure, they’ve had three years, it shoulda been fixed… but at the same time, I can understand that it aint the easiest, and that it’s pretty rare that this happens, the only frequent place I have it is the Pale Tree’s flashback to Orr, where Trahaerne decides that progress is for scrubs.

kill the boss in hearts and minds story and when he wants his sword owner always crashes. it’s a fluke if you can get through this mission without crashing there. anyone know of a fix for this? tried both clients settings on high/low different times of day. and after my tenth char this bug is still there since release.

I get that its hard to fix..but tbh, I rather they close down game 1 -2-3-weeks what ever it took and fix the problems they know about (without ofc make new).
I think not only would it bring alot of players back but it would help anet in the long run of gw2, unless they dont think the game have long time left.

I think shutting the game down for one to three weeks is gonna kitten off a lotta people, and make ‘em leave, even if the reason is to fix stuff.
Anyway, this aint for discussion, it’s for bugs, and the bug is in your OP so let’s leave it at that.

probably submitted over 2-3 requests/per char x10, just wanted to see if any players had any input n yeah as mentioned above both clients over the last 3 months

A support request is not a forum post. It’s not about getting feedback from other players, it’s a means of directly contacting the Arenanet customer service staff so that they can help you solve the issue.

And at the top right of the screen click “Submit a request”. That way a staff member can help you out with the issue.

Try repairing your game files. I recently finished HoT’s story and finished that fight in a single, agonizing, pain in the kitten sitting. Without crashing.

have to note been through 2 different modems, 3 different computers last 3 months, ran a sfc scan no issues. currently running a clean 6gig nvidia card in a tower with 32gigs of ram and over 4gig of proc. even called the isp and no issues there on our end. and yeah just checking the forums for options before I do make a ticket. only really planned on running story mode 3 more times any way.. may be. any where else ingame play is basically normal, may crash due to lag spikes once in a blue moon and the odd random story but this predicament is the most consistent I have ever found.

@aidan – may be solo is the way to go as I forgot to mention 90% of the time I group up and if I can ask “Try repairing your game files” how?

In your game shortcut, go into properties, add “-repair” to the “Target:” line. This will cause the loader to test and repair all the files. It’s probably a good idea to then remove that part from that line, or it will do that every time you try to run the game.

well solo seems to work so far ran it a few times since so that sucks. this should be my last time other then now my only ach will be HM via a party which I am not looking forward to so wish us luck… alls I can say if you run into this problem go solo I guess

there, did my last story 16th time or w/e as party leader w/ full party. and didn’t get kicked only thing I did different was add -clientport 80 (to the shortcut)
not sure if that helped but made me feel better
