This is a minor bug, but rather annoying for me.

It would seem the bottom left corner dye slot for the chest piece of heavy Nightmare armor cannot be dyed some colors, and simply removes the color and replaces it with dye remover when you try and exit the dye menu to apply the color.

The color shows in the window, and shows in the slot, but as soon as you try and close the menu and apply it, it vanishes

I don’t know what colors are all effected by this, but the one I am trying to use is Black (just standard “Black Dye”)

Update: turns out the bottom left corner of the dye slots for heavy Nightmare just do not accept Black dye at all

Bought a new piece and it will not use Black in that slot as well

I experienced the exact same issue, word for word (using black dye on Nightmare chest piece). It also crashes my client if I try to dye it black and then I unequip the armor. I made a video about it, even: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60_WfrWgkME

Someone else in the comments of that video said they experienced the bug too, but on some low level boots. Not sure what boots, though.

I experienced this bug when I transmuted my Nightmare Armor with karma armor. I was able to apply Black at first, but after playing around with other colors, I was no longer able to dye that section Black.

However, I now use an untransmuted Heavy Nightmare Chest piece and am able to apply both Black and Abyss.
