Guild Wars 2

I rerolled a new character. Working on a partial map completion. Just Waypoints and Hero Challenges for now. Finding Hero Challenges in maps I enter for the first time already completed.
Tried a Google search on this to see what I may have missed on bug reports or if it’s something I did.
Anyone else run into this problem?

Okay I need to pay better attention. I just figured out what happened.

You earned them in WvW?

The pic shows Dredgehaunt Cliffs with 2 Hero points and 2% completion but map shows clearly they never have been there (the whole map is covered and it doesn’t even show the map name), I don’t think it has something to do with WvW, really strange though.

So, now I’m curious. What happened?

I have been using Proof of Heroics on that particular character since he has a lot of catching up to do. I just found out (after paying attention to what I’m doing) when consumed for a Heroic Challenge it actually makes that character earn a Heroic Challenge from the map.

Yeah, that would do it. It will probably confuse some players that have earned Hero Points through WvW, for awhile.
