Hi guys,

I’m sorry if this isn’t a bug however it’s something I’ve only came across tonight whilst doing World completion.

Normally to assist with WC I open the map and hover over a particular icon I want to show on the map…for example, if let’s say you’re completing a certain zone and have 1 last Hero Point to find – and it’s a pain in the a** to find – I would open the map and hover over the Hero Point icon on the left side of the screen – and if it’s revealed on the map already the game will ‘ping’ the location of it, bringing it to your attention.

Ordinarily this would only ping up any given icon in that area – say you hovered over the vista icon – it would only ping revealed vistas for the map you’re on, i.e. Lions Arch.

As from tonight I’ve noticed only with Hero points that it actually pings them on the entire map – thus making it difficult identifying if it’s in the zone you’re in or not (if it’s borderline on the map you’re currently in).

I don’t think this has always been the case so I wanted to bring it to someones attention – maybe I’m incorrect.

For an individualized response, you can contact the CS Team. Though, they may only suggest you report it in-game, or post on the forums, which you have done.

The chance of having a Dev respond may be slim.

Edit: If it is any consolation, I tried this on a character, and if I scroll to other maps, the HP show up, as well. No idea if this is the way it should work, did work before, or has changed, as I’ve never tried looking at other maps to see if HPs would flash. =)

I discovered it yesterday by accident, it’s so awesome!

And yes mine pings the whole map, doesn’t bother me.
