I went ahead and signed up for the newsletter for the upcoming HoT beta when they opened sign ups. But I haven’t received any confirmation emails from anet and in fact my last email from anet was from Mar 5th. I think I’m signed up because it was how i originally got into the gw2 beta. Why isn’t there a confirmation email send for signing up? Also I signed up twice to see if there was an issue and it seems the website doesn’t give you an error stating x email has signed up already…

It seems that if you were already signed up for the GW2 (NCSoft) newsletters (of any kind), you would not receive a confirmation email.

It is probably set to only send confirmations to those new to the newsletter. Well, that’s just my guess on settings. Many never received the confirmation, and of those, some have received the Beta invitation, so…..

Except I wasn’t previously signed up for any newsletters from ncsoft, and I’m having the same issue. That’s not the cause.

I’ve gone through their steps for if you’re having problems getting email from them, and nada. And I’m not about to assume that I’m signed up without the confirmation, particularly when I wasn’t before.

I don’t think everyone is getting into the beta, the newsletter is a “chance” to get in.

one of my guildies got an invite to the beta the other day so if you havn’t gotten one you just didn’t luck out

I am fully aware of that. But I didn’t get a confirmation letter for the newsletter signup, which you are supposed to. I am not going to assume that my attempting to sign up for the newsletter worked without that.

If you signed up for the newsletter, you’re subscribed. If you were previously receiving our GW2 newsletters, you’re subscribed. No confirmation will be sent in relation to an existing or new newsletter subscription.

Thanks for the reply. I just find it odd some people were stating they had numerous e-mails from anet in the past couple weeks when I didn’t receive any myself
