Just another undocumented stealth change. They changed the Troll in HoTw Path 1 , I have no problem if the Troll is harder to kill ( buffed ) . The problem is that the ‘’ New ’’ Troll is a exact cut and paste from the AC Troll … he drop a bag of wondrous good and you can get Ascalonian Tears and AC stuff … Yesterday , I killed the HoTw Troll and i looted a Foefire Amulet ! ? Another party member received Tears Tokens ..
While it can give you extra AC tokens … you get a reduced amount of HoTw Tokens in your HoTw run.
We are more than aware that the troll was upgraded, and that is a welcome change.
The fact that he now rewards the party with loot from the Ascalonian Catacombs, (ie: foefire amulet, ring of the catacombs, ghostly spineguard, ascalonian tears, etc.) is why this is in the bug forum.
