Honestly Earned GWAMM unjustly STRIPPED
First, double check to see whether you can apply GWAMM to your characters. It could be that you got the email and yet nothing changed, i.e. only the email was sent incorrectly.
Second, creating a ticket is the right thing to do because only Customer Service can help you resolve this and they can only do so if you filed a ticket.
Finally, during any rollout/update that changes over a million accounts, there are going to be errors: false positives (where a legit GWAMM gets flagged as bogus) and false negatives (where a bogus GWAMM doesn’t get flagged). In theory, those should be very few in number. In practice, there will still be some — and unfortunately, you appear to be one the unlucky ones.
tl;dr wait for Support to help you resolve stuff; it will get sorted out. (And again, I’m sorry you got stuck with this issue.)
This just happened to me as well. I created a new character and I got the same mail from “Scholar Aiti”, except I had never received the GWAMM title in either game (didn’t even know about the bug until recently), but I did have 30 HoM points. All the appropriate titles I earned are inaccessible to my new character.
Hoping they fix this! It’s just so odd to have all my rightfully earned titles taken away and have my account flagged for an exploit I never even touched.
I’m comforted to see that this isn’t just me. I just rolled a new character and lost my titles (Didn’t have GWAMM but did have up to Flameseeker)
Strangely, all the skins I had unlocked are still accessible; I haven’t checked the HoM to see if Kimmes will still fork over the items though.
Edit: Once I got the new character out of the starting area, I used the HoM stone and talked to Kimmes; he offered me the items I had unlocked and all of my titles returned. All is well.

I was unjustly stripped too. I cannot apply the title to new or existing characters. I created a ticket with a screen shot of my HoM Calculator in the background of a windowed GW2 game (does the ticket-screen shot apply to my computer screen or just the GW2 window??) to try to make it easy for Anet. I also referenced a GW1 character name in case they can use it to more quickly confirm my GWAMM was earned honestly.
This title was the hardest to earn and therefore means the most to me, so I hope they get it fixed soon.

So I saw in map chat the solution to this. Log into GW1, go into HoM and view accomplishments and that should unlock the title for you. Worked for me.
I’d only got up to ‘Closer to the stars’ and even that was revoked when I made a new character. It seems like anyone that has the gall to make one right now gets all their legitimate HoM titles stripped, since this didn’t occur until that character left the tutorial zone.
Are you seriously telling me I have to reinstall Guild Wars 1 in order to fix this injustice?

No one is telling you that you must reinstall a game to fix it; they are offering that as a work-around.
PS please try to avoid dramatizing the issue. It’s a mistake, a bug not an injustice; the points are missing, not “stripped.” It will get fixed for everyone who has legit earned the relevant number of HoM points.
For now, create a support ticket and include a screenshot of your HoM score via the HoM tool (no need to reinstall the game).
I only have up to “Chosen” but the same thing happened to me when I made a new toon. I can get all the skins and everything but its just I don’t have the titles. Is wierd.
