Hover Wallet Missing
Just klick on it, and u will open the new wallet. Its even better then the hoover option, all info and in de near future even more you will find there.

Hover wallet had all of the information I ever needed. And I didn’t have to click into anything to see it. If this is intentional it is a huge disappointment that anet would intentionally remove a QoL change like this to make things less convenient.
+1 to hover wallet … I miss it as well

Hey all, didn’t want to leave this discussion hanging. Losing the hover list was a needed concession because of the fact that the currency list is growing and would potentially become unusable. We’ve been talking about ways we could have kept it, and things we might do in the future to bring it back, but time constraints kept us from being able to implement any of them for the 6/23 release. We are still looking at it and considering our options though.
Thanks for the reply, Matthew.
I would like to see the hover feature to be back in some form or another, as it was quite convenient. Perhaps have it show the general currencies only. It would save me plenty of clicking just to fast check the laurels or the spirit shards I have.

I agree, having just the basic currencies like the ones we had before would work quite nicely without needing to fret about potential expansion of the list.

(said with the understanding that this isnt exactly top priority) how about allowing up to, say, 10 currencies to be selected via checkbox to be added to the “quick view” popup?
Just tossing my agreement into the ring that i would like the hover function back (when you get a chance) and i dont think it would need any of the additional currencies on it. Just the ones we had before.

What about implementing a way to track certain currencies on screen or at the bottom of the inventory UI near gold and gems?

I would like this, but i agree is really further from priority. Also, if you check the inventory, you can see that the currency displayed changed depending on the zone you are in – with dungeons having appropriate tokens and zones appropriate ones, like crests for silverwastes.
But if there is going to be a change, i would personally like what you proposed.

Agree: not a priority and I like the compromise idea (or some sort of limit, even if we can’t select it, so that at least we wouldn’t have to toggle).
I’d also like to see an option to add a hot key, e.g. I use [i] for Inventory; I’d like to maybe use [I] for the Wallet (i.e. [shift+i]).
Maybe a checkbox next to each currency in the wallet to indicate what should show up in the hover? If more are selected than there is screen space then that is a user error.

Thanks for the comment.
I agree with the others (my first thought as well) that being able to select (by checkboxes) a set # of currencies to show on the hover window would be perfect.
I don’t need to see them all all the time, and I hate having to go to another screen (that I can’t set to a hot key!!) to take a 2 second glance at something.
There is absolutely no evidence to support that it would.” -AnthonyOrdon
Yeah. Like I mentied back here .
Being able to pick a set of favorites would do. It’ll keep the list short, but let people see faster the ones they want to see most often.
I only ever used the hover wallet, never once pulled up the one in the hero panel, so I was kinda disappointed when we lost it with the new UI. One thing that might make it more friendly right now for some of us is if there was a way to lock it to the same size as the inventory window but I’d definitely like that functionality back.

If you mean ‘hoover’ as in vacuum cleaner, are you implying the old option sucked?.
The ‘hover’ list of currency would be nice to have back. ArenaNet says they’re looking into it.

Currently I think it is jarring when the window size changes as you flip between inventory and wallet (of particular note: having to move your mouse in order to click the button to switch back), and there appears to be no logical connection between the two other than the fact that some wallet currencies used to be inventory items, but of course the whole point is that they aren’t items anymore.
If you want to keep the wallet tied to inventory, then I’d suggest revising the inventory window to be tabbed in some way, and for the wallet tab to have the same appearance as the collection, where each currency is categorized under a heading, displayed as an item icon within a grid and any missing currencies are grayed out but still represented to the player. I feel that this would be more consistent with the way information is presented in game, and is also more compact and more readable than an ever-growing vertical list of text that is already too long.

What about a scrollable combobox that opens on click maybe but looks more
like the old wallet ? Needs maybe also another click to close but also closes
automatically on closing the inventory.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
