A friend of mine had it’s story skipped to level 48. We were playing through it together and can’t continue playing if it isn’t fixed on his account. Should he send a support ticket?

It’s good to know your the only one who needs it fixed. Arenanet will definitely prioritize you now that they have found out its only you
