How to avoid AoE from Molten Berserker? (bug)
Oh, so it IS bugged. I died a few times frustratingly due to that kind of stuff in the dungeon.
You can jump over that one too. I do it pretty regularly. I must admit that sometimes I feel like I get hit when I successfully jumped over it, though, so maybe there is something fishy happening (like in your video).
molten berserker has big blind spot, just stand there and he wont be able to hit u with aoe. u still can get hit by melee though.

In the dev livestream they said you’re to supposed to only get hit by it if you jump (kind of to catch players that are not paying attention to the wave’s graphics). But yeah, it’s really annoying to get hit by this thing out of nowhere.

Yeah, that’s another one. Sometimes he randomly knocks back when he teleports to you.
Firescreams AoE isn’t always appearing (not visible with red circle or animation) either. I guess its not biggie because its a temporary dungeon, but obviously would need to be fixed if they were going to keep it.
It’s not bugged. The final wave can be partially avoided but it will always damage you to some degree unless your standing right next to the Berserker because it’s not a wave it’s a continuos wave that radiates outwards and covers most of the battlefield. It does not have a crest. It’s just one big disc.
What about when you jump/dodge over it and don’t get hit?
I just dodge through it. Jumping seemed like a very unreliable method, the timing seems to be something other than what the graphics would suggest (I am in Australia though, this could just be a ping issue – although I don’t have trouble with most red rings). I heard you could jump them and I was excited but quickly became annoyed when I realised jumping seemed like a buggy way of doing it. Then I saw people dodging through them and now that’s what I do.

The devs themselves said the wave is only supposed to hit jumping players, so yes, it is bugged…
I don’t like how everything has to default to dodging to avoid. It becomes a pattern recognition that punishes risk more than it rewards.
Might have something to do with latency. I think that the wave is actually not one single attack because sometimes when I dodge into the wave, I see 3 Evade message and sometimes, 2 Evade message and some damage figure.
When I jump on the other hand, I usually only see one damage figure, no knockdown.

you can dodge through it too for a more reliable way to avoid the dmg. Problem is so much about this dungeon is bugged. Sometimes if you outrange the attack you’ll still get hit. Sometimes if you tank the hit, you won’t get knocked back. About every 10s you’ll take 6k insta dmg and burning b/c an invisible fire aoe never renders and never goes away.
And on clap bug 2, I feel your pain. I still have nightmares about it.

You also have to jump stupid early. If you aren’t at the peak of your jump when the wave is coming, you will get hit. That would be fine if it was like that all the time but if you jump way early and are half way down, it will still avoid the wave. Doesn’t make sense imo.

1st vid might be a bug. 2nd is just lag.
2nd vid is not lag, it’s a bug. It was the 1st wave that hit him and the 2nd one never connected. Really annoying for sure. Only way I found to avoid it is always keep an eye on the zerker and dodge as soon as he does his blink animation.

lol at your argument, sorry but weth and I have both soloed it, it’s a bug, not lag. You will not get to see the full extent of a boss’ mechanics until you solo it. Other players will be taking agro and you will have to pay significantly closer attention due to the lack of a safety net. It’s a bug not lag. If you need proof that I soloed it then click the link in my sig or go to the dungeon solo thread. I know what I’m talking about. Please, the next time you argue like this have some way to back yourself up. I really don’t want to have to continue this annoying school yard argument. If I didn’t need to delete many of my fail videos to clear hd space I could have shown you a dozen videos of this exact bug happening while being blatantly outside of the aoe range. Are you still really going to tell me it’s lag and not a bug? If so I’ll know just to ignore all your posts from now on.

Ive “soloed” (not soloed exactly, but been the last one standing for the last 25-30% life) twice with my ranger. I know EXACTLY the mechanics for this boss and I have an average ping of 200ms. So I can tell you: this is not a bug, it is lag. I know very well the boss mechanics and how it is to have lag. Btw, feel free to ignore my posts, you wont be the 1st person who cant accept different views in this forums. Lots of spoiled kids nerd raging around. There are some issues with this fight, specially due to red circles not showing and other graphic issues, but in this 2nd video the problem is lag. I know it is more comfortable to blame a bug than admiting you failed. Feel free to do it as well if it makes you feel better.

so ironic that you say this. You’re the one ignoring the points of outranging or dodging the ability but still getting knocked back, etc. Maybe you should try listening to your own words before you shut your mind off to reason or logic.
