Guild Wars 2

I decided to make a human elemental and i was going through the tutorial till i got to the event ’Defend The Gates’ Which you had to defend the gates from centaurs. I’ve done this quest a couple times and this time was the first with so many people, they said that the gates wouldn’t open. I spent the next hour fighting off centaurs and still the gates DIDN’T OPEN!
i left and decided to do some other things till they fixed this bug. I come back 5-9 hours later and still 20 people stuck just fighting off centaurs. I want to continue through the game but the event wont end and can arena net fix this and is this happening on other servers.
My server is BlackGate if that helps.

When this occurs, the only method I’ve heard to get around it is to guest to another server to complete the tutorial zone.
