I can't sell my Dragon's Jade Skins
Or more specifically, this Dev response: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Merged-Can-t-sell-my-weapon-skins/first#post2674404
Try dragging a tradeable skin onto an accountbound one and see if they stack. That should let you sell them. (if indeed they do stack)
I don’t have more than one of each skin, so that’s not something I can really do, so there is really no way of telling at this point. If they are account bound then it should tell me so that I at least know that I can’t do anything with them.
From the link above:
‘Only newly obtained skins in select sets are tradable. In the past, we intended those skins to be account-bound and not tradable. After the change, these skins will remain account-bound and not tradable. We will continue to monitor the value of those skins, but at this time, there is no plan to make tradability retroactive.’
You could try buying a tradeable one, and stacking it with the accountbound one. Of course that means shelling out 40-50g for something that might not work.
I’m just curious because the same thing happened with the wings of Dwayna recipe, and I sold my account bound ones using that method.
Dragging a tradable one onto a non-tradable skin still worked as of last week anyway. I did it with a fused hammer skin that was mouldering in my storage.
With the dragon skins, most of the buy offers are close enough to the sell offers that you could buy one on the tp and then sell the two skins back and make a little extra cash.
Unfortunately, the dragon skins, unlike most of the other skins, don’t seem to be able to be obtained with black lion tickets which means you can’t farm the keys for them.
i don’t know why the old skins did not become tradable when they made the new ones tradable. i assume there must have been some difficulty in the programming that would have taken too much effort to work around because simply making an arbitrary decision to keep the old skins from being tradable would have been, well, slightly less intelligent than moronic.

You can still buy dragon coffers, and thus get claim tickets.

Perhaps the most important part of the quote from link above:
‘We will continue to monitor the value of those skins, but at this time, there is no plan to make tradability retroactive’
Value of those skins – in value of dollars made to ANet…
`Once the gold value of the game reaches a threshold of users no longer buying them they will fall into the “Only obtained reasonably well via BL Claim Tickets”…
`Once the claim ticket transfers to for said item slow, they will reduce the ticket per item (for example, we have seen many go from 5 tickets to 3 or even 1)…
’Normally as the claim ticket transfers go down, and the tickets per item go down, the gold asked for item will also go down… this sometimes includes players taking their item off and reposting it for a lower value (2x taxes for posting)
’If (not ever happened yet) the user base supply runs out, and no tickets are being exchanged for said item, they will then revisit the idea of letting the “account bound not used” items be transferred for tradable ones… This will refresh the availability and users seeing the skins in game, and they are in hopes the trading will recommence…
Simple “supply and demand with product control”
Lol don’t be silly Max. Dragon’s jade don’t even use BL tickets for a start.
That is because you can still buy Dragon Coffers… I guess that would be a phase in the phases listed above…
’Dragon Coffers will be sold out on BLTC in the mix of things….
’Shift Dragon Weapons to be available via BLTC….
Just a heads up, friend sold all his 10 skins today using the drag to make a stack method. So you can sell your accountbound skins.
