Guild Wars 2

Since the mad king arrived on halloween I’ve not been able to talk to my guild as it says You are not in a guild. I am in a guild and have been since the first day I logged on. I tried logging out, switching characters and have stopped representing and then began again to no avail, need some help!

It’s a bug. It just happens for no reason, and then goes away for no reason.

Try “Exit To Desktop” option in the menu, to fully reload the game. Then log in and rezone into another map, then back to the other map, and then try the guild chat.

I have it happen about once every couple of weeks or so. Or, I can type, but can’t see anyone else responding (any chat). It’s like I’m disconnected, but on TeamSpeak we can tell there is no lag and everything else is working.

I think the bug has existed for so long because Anet can’t reproduce it to figure out why it happens.

It’s working now yay!! Not sure how or why, but I don’t care, it works!!

You have to click “represent” to be able to talk in your guild channel its on the guild tab right a at the bottom of the page in a button.

If you’d read the first post, you’d see Lilo had tried stepping down and re-representing while troubleshooting already. Guild stuff can be buggy and has been since the launch, though I can offer no suggestions as to why. I myself sometimes can’t get NPCs such as the guild banker to talk to me despite representing a guild at the time.
