Guild Wars 2

After doing the pirate puzzle in Lion’s Arch, I was led to a weapons karma merchant. After previewing each one, I found that the pirate underwater weapons, for a time, was bugged so that the spear had a rifle skin, and the harpoon gun had a spear skin. I thought it was a joke, as if underwater pirates smacked people around with guns and shooting things out of a spear was a nod to Poseidon shooting things out of his trident. I found this hilarious and bought them strictly for the skin mixup. But it was fixed after a while. I don’t suppose there’s any way in the future for my warrior to Tsunami Slash with a gun and make shots with a spear, could I?

I wonder if this means all the other weapons mixed up this way are also bugs. I know those aren’t the only harpoon/spear swaps. There are also tridents that look like staff and vice versa.

I really liked this bug as well. In fact just a few days ago I used a lv 80 transmutation stone so I could wack mobs underwater with a gun as my spear. Now unfortunately, I’m left with a corrected pirate spear that I never wanted and I waisted a transmutation stone. I guess that’s the risk you take for assuming pirates are just crazy.
