So, my ISP (UPC, in Ireland) has enabled what they are calling “Dual Stack Lite”. This gives you an IPv6 address and shares a single IPv4 between X number of end users. Its a form of carrier grade NAT.

However, this causes the trading post to return a “net::ERR_TIMED_OUT” error in 99.9% of attempts to open it. This also affects the currency exchange and the gem store (winky winky). This means I can no longer throw my rent money into keys and llamas.

I know that this is on the ISP’s fault and that ANet have no control over it, but I thought I would mention it anyway just in case it’s something they could fix.

Usually that is fixed just by closing gw2 and reopening it. My isp does the same thing basically, but I think it’s a little different. However the trading post has worked fine for me, and that change shouldn’t affect it anyways, anymore than it would affect you going to any website (since that’s all the trading post really is).

edit: I don’t know if clearing the gw2 trading post cache would help or not. It may. There was a dev post that said how to do it somewhere…
