I don’t really know much about Mesmers to this might just be my not understanding the class however the damage from this Illusions of Life seems rather extreme.

This skills gets a downed player up instantly for 15 seconds. After that they are downed again. To prevent being downed again one should use the 15 seconds to kill a foe.

So the damage showing is just what was needed to make it work as intended (to get you down again).

So a kind and friendly mesmer has given you 15 more seconds to play and fight
