After todays build every time I am in combat it looks like I am not in combat, there are still arrows on utilities like I cant change skills, plz stop trolling us… xD

^same issue I have. skills appear to be not locked when you are in combat, even thuogh they actually are.

Yep. Hard to tell when you’re out of combat. There’s been some weird bugs going around, but this surely is one among the top ones.

Seeing the same thing. I would often watch for the change skill tabs to disappear to know I’d entered combat so I could trigger a weapon swap sigil. Having those tabs always visible now is throwing me off a bit.

Same here since last patch. Though it’s a bit confusing, it didn’t bother me as much as the “out of combat bug” (see other topic in this forum for details).

Happens to me as well. It’s kinda annoying if you’re still in combat and switch the weaponset and then have the cooldown if you want to switch again before the next fight, just because it looked like you’re out of combat already (for example because you also had full or nearly full HP).

Same for me aswell.. It is very annoying in wvw! and even experienced it in a dungeon.. and even in open world pve..

I don’t have an option to change skills while ooc. And then when I’m in combat, I have the option, but can’t do it :/

Same bug here.
I have the option to click on the arrow and browse skills while I’m in combat, but I can’t select any.
After I get OOC everything works fine.

Really hope Anet will see this and fix it as soon as possible…

i was about to report this bug until i saw this thread but its more of a skill bar bug
bug effects both in combat and out of combat

I can confirm this as well, actually started a new thread of the same bug. But as I said in my thread the bug is that the requirement checker that allows the utility skills to be changed has been reversed, not the in combat flag itself(you still get healed once you leave combat, just cannot change skills).

Appears the same way while spectating in custom arenas. While spectating an in-combat person, I can select those arrows and see the different utility skill options. If I try to select one, it crashes my client.

Bump.. this needs a hotfix – NOW – its sucks to not know exactly when you are out of combat in PvP….

And ANet wants to get into ESport with such ‘update-features’ ? pff.. not in this live…

@DZx.4927 and others who can’t change skills when OUT of combat.

Pls check this bug when u r under combat transformation (with tonics like watchknight or forced transform like in AC p3 or Ascalon fractal). As i and some other guys mantioned in other thread the out of combat skill change is blocked (no arrows) when u r transformed and if u r not transformed u can change skills normaly.

As well check if u have ~5 sec delay before HP regen when u go out of combat (i dont really remember if there were any delay before).

Edit: mb i c HP regen delay cause i can’t normaly say if i’m in or out of combat.

My guess is that the initial purpose of the change was to block the “exploit” of slotting in locked skills at low-levels when using bundles, but something went wrong and hiding of the arrows is now triggered incorrectly.

Same. This is very annoying. I hope they fix it soon.

Sometimes I can’t change my skills when I’m out of combat because the arrows don’t appear. Will post screen when it happens again.

I also am having this issue.

I’ve been checking the game updates page on the wiki daily hoping to read that this bug has been fixed. It seems like a small thing, but it’s really proving to be annoying not to know exactly when I’m in or out of combat. We really need those skill change tabs to disappear when we’re in combat.

Not that it spoils the gameplay it’s just imperfect now

you can still know you are in combat seeing the “yellow” thing all over around the skill bar and health “orb”…

Ran into this bug as well.

I click skills 6-0 so it’s quite frustrating when trying to click a skill while in combat and hitting it just wrong and instead you get the popup to change skills instead. It has gotten me killed several times. I’d love this fixed soon.

I’ve been in Ascalonian fractal a couple days ago. I was able to switch skills exactly once, after which the arrows disappeared completely. My bad for posting it in this thread though, not this one – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/out-of-Combat-bug

no. it’s still not fixed.

It happens when you are transformed (ascalon, Thaumanova fractal , etc.)

Please fix this. It makes playing those dungeons annoying, especially Thaumanova fractal, because of all the mini puzzles that require different skills.

Can we please have this fixed or at least acknowledged?

I totally didnt think a simple bug like this gets ignored for that long :|
