I know there’s been a couple of posts on this in the past, but I haven’t found any responses to this bug.

Previously, the bug for in-game mail resulted in in filling up at 9/10. So you can never get 10/10 full mailbox and acquire the “mailbox full hint” (for the achievement).

I had my mail at 6/10 for the past week or so, deleted the most recent gold seller mail, and noticed that more mail kept coming in. But my mailbox is now stuck at 6/10. It’s even worse now whereas before I could at least get 9/10. lol

Has anyone see a dev response to this in-game mail limit bug yet?

While this doesn’t break the game, your mail just get queued until you delete some mail, it does prevent you from getting the hint achievement. Does anyone out there get a full 10/10 mailbox limit?

Okay, I think I figured out the issue. Some of the NPC letters (and bonus item letter from the Collector’s Edition) are counted as part of the mailbox limit, however it doesn’t register as part of the 10 – meaning that the counter doesn’t update. After cleaning out my mailbox (deleting everything) then having my friends send me some mail, I was finally able to achieve the 10/10 mailbox hint.

I have recently had mailbox stuck at 8/10. When I deleted the green * mail from anet titled Hallween Guide 1, 2, etc, it allowed me to accept more mail and get to 10/10. Usually the * mail from anet does not count towards your inbox but in this case the halloween guides did but did not update your mail display to 10/10. Try deleting some * and see what happens.

Also, my husband never got the mail from Tassi to do the scavenger hunt but when he logged out and back in found the detector item and starter tot bag in his inventory. Mail has been a little buggy.

Yup, mail limit is bugged at the moment.
