Chat bubbles are not working after current update to game build 3/08/16

I noticed that as well, tried to look for an option for them somewhere but must be blind as I don’t see one.

Its on the setting tab on the chat box. turning it on and off doesn’t fix it

This is going to make RP very difficult especially when RPing in Divinity’s Reach – I hope ArenaNet will fix this soon.

Chatbubbles are missing since the newest patch, even though “Show In-World Bubbles” is ticked.

/s chat is not appearing on screen.

Ran into the same issue, was about to post about it. Kind of crippling for RP, this. Q__Q

Edit: the patch also ate /p chat bubbles.

yes i just noticed that too

i really hope this is a bug and not a silent removal without mentioning
but that would make no sense since there is an extra option to show or not show speech bubbles so everyone can decide for himself
therfor it must be a bug

much easier to quickly see who said something when speech bubbles are showing

All member of my guild say the same, no more bubbles after new patch.
“Show In-World Bubbles” is ticked.

I tried unticked and ticked again no effect.

I came here to post this SAME thing! Please please @Brandon Gee please fix this issue, im so bad at looking at my chat box, so i usually miss chat, but i rarely did with the bubbles, i hope you can find the issue and fix is soon!! I couldn’t even find in my settings the option for it. So please n thanks!

Every single time there are any updates, yet another feature of the game goes wonky or stops working.

Chat bubbles should have their own setting so this can’t happen.

Players’ chat bubbles have disappeared. But I see more NPC chat bubbles.
