Is it possible to send mail to your alts everytime i try to to get a message saying "you cannot send a message yourself? Its driving me nuts even the same races i cannot send to. were all on the same server after a few attempts it bars me from doing it saying i have sent to many messages.

There’s no need to send yourself mail in game.

To transfer items or gold, visit a bank. Bank access is from any crafting station, or NPCs in the cities. There’s a portal to the racial capital near wherever you started (often behind the character’s initial position) so it’s very easy to access the bank as soon as you’re done with the tutorial.

So really, it’s not a bug that you can’t mail yourself, it’s by design.
