I’ve noticed that when I enter combat (fights, or taking fall damage) with an IMS signet equipped (Signet of Locust, Signet of Air and Signet of Shadows tested so far), I ended up losing the speed boost until I get out of combat. First started noticing on my Necro when I was doing the EB jumping puzzle and took fall damage, and tried to do the following jump only to completely mess it up, and then I tested on my Ele, and my friend tested on his Thief.

Anyone else having this problem?

Uhm. You always lose speed when entering combat.

Well yes I knew that, but I lose the 25% boost from the signet entirely, it seems, or is that 25% boost so negligible in combat that I don’t notice it?

Oglaf is right, you lose the speed buff when entering combat. I also believe that it isn’t a bug since they dont want you to be able to out run everything on the maps to gather nodes or skip content.

Hm but even with swiftness in combat, you move faster than without, but no increase in speed from signets?
