Q:
Influence and Guild Upgrades Didn't Transfer
Influence is accrued and spent separately by the guild members on each world. For example, a guild with players in Maguuma, Blacktide, and Riverside will have three different pools of Influence and three different build queues, one for each world.
This is taken from the wiki
This seems like such a lame system. My guild wanted to look for a new server, but we lose all our upgrades and we had people use their digital deluxe influence items. Those at least should be refunded each server transfer. I feel kind of bad as a guild leader telling people that their item that they paid $20 extra real money for was wasted.
In my opinion, if you make guilds worlds wide, anything they have should be worlds wide. You can’t expect the former mentioned guild to spent 3x more influence just so that everyone could have use of the same buildings. fe. If a guild is on 3 homeworlds and they want to use the Guild Stash they now have to spent 3k for 1 actual upgrade.
You can group together as long as it is not WvWvW.
I agree, I don’t understand why everything isn’t global already, its pretty much just having the same guild with the same name on multiple servers and only linked by guild chat and the guild roster.
I honestly don’t see any reason at all for there being separate upgrades/influence. If they are throwing everyone together with the guest system so everything is pretty much like the district system from GW1 (except for WvW of course), I see it causing a lot of issues.
If I guest to another server, will I be able to take advantage of the boosts on my home server?
