Guild Wars 2

I transmuted Mawdrey a long time ago, I’m trying to get my final few infusions into it. It’s only allowing the first slot to be used and the infused slot is unusable. I put a +10 infusion and then added the +7 and the +7 overwrote the +10. Tried it the other way around using the +10 first and the prompt said it would override the +10 with the +7. I’m not sure what to do now.

I don’t get the prompt for selecting a slot to add the infusion just consumes it into the items first slot. I’ve tried extracting also, it didn’t fix the problem and still consumed the infusion. I’m not complaining about the loss of the +10, it’s a bummer but it happens. Just want to be able to use the backpiece since it is ascended and infused.

Maybe I’m remembering wrong, but I don’t think you can put a straight up Agony Infusion in a Defensive slot (which is what you’re doing according to your screenshots). What you CAN do is put the +10 Agony Infusion in the Agony Infusion Slot, and then either get a Versatile Simple Infusion (and upgrade it to a +7 in the Mistlock Observatory) or a Versatile Infusion for the Defensive slot.

Edit: It worked. I had to add a Versatile Infusion +7 first before it allocated the second slot. Thank you very much for the quick reply.
