Correction, there is a ghost near the house with her body up the hill. It took a lot of rinse and repeat but the heart was doable with just her. Gold star is mine!

It would still be a much more fun heart if it were fully working, though.

After 1 month this event + heart still bugged. Spirit till on the tree, impossible to finish the task.

Please fix this Need it to complete World Exploration!

I just figured this was the best way to get wood from the tree, floating in it 2 stories off the ground.

This was also busted on JQ as of Saturday.

There’s one ghost “working” on desolation. What i found was that if you can protect the logger (after he’s returned to his body) from 3 spawns of shadow fiends (one each time) then the next spawn is 3 shadow fiends.Only had to do this a few times to get the heart.

I successfully completed this heart/Bria quest a few days ago. Everything worked fine, which surprised me because every other time I’ve encountered it everything was broken.

Something else must be breaking it now.

Yeah, that’s where Blackgate is now. (And if the shadow fiends spawn too slowly, you can kite the nearby spider or doe to kill him and get credit for the res.)

It started with the corporeal “Lost Spirit” standing around not doing anything. Kiting a mob to that and making it die got to the ghost spirit and things proceeded from there.

I have only checked once, but SoR had the Bria event working without a hitch a week or so ago. Plenty of ghostly spiders to kill as well, although the loggers were still hit or miss.

it seems no spawns for the lost spirits are available to talk to, also none of the spiders spawn either, this is the only thing getting in the way of my world completion. i have heard it has been bugged for some time now ?

I made the renown heart just before christmas, and there were at least two spirits working, along with the spider spawns and the shade fights while escorting them. Both of their bodies are up the hill to the west of the haunted mansion.

It’s bugged again! :-(

There is also a Cub broken away from the rest of the group with a Event Shield over his head. Sever minutes of watching and attempting to talk to him had no results. It is impossible to make any progress towards the renown heart, and by extension killing the entire zone and making map completion impossible.

I am a user in Stormbluff Isle and it seems like the heart in hellion forest in the map Iron Marches is bugged. There is no way of getting the heart meter up as I have spent hours trying and everyone in the map chat says go report it. Seems like this would be a good place to post. If anyone got it working recently like within a week Please tell me how you did it cause all the method that I have found by researching does not work anymore. (they were couple months old and I believe with new patchs it changed it up a bit)

If they are standing next to their bodies but not responding to the text prompt pull a spider over to them and have the spider hit the spirit. This should cause the spirit to engage the spider and once the spider is dead you should be able to revive the logger. Just worked for me and now there is at least one logger working on JQ. Good luck hope this works for you too

I’m on SBI as well. I to have experienced this bug. I’m trying to finish map completion but can not, because there is no way to get this heart. Please let me know if anyone can find a work-around

Currently not working on Yak’s Bend either. Most irritating.

I’ve logged it as a bug report in game.

I reported a bug on this back in October. Stopped playing for a couple of months. Came back today; still bugged.
1) Displaced ghosts are stuck in the trees.
2) Displaced ghosts are not ghosts.
3) Displaced ghosts say to wake them when they get to their bodies, but they are already in their bodies and seemingly awake.

I was able to find one displaced spirit who was actually a spirit. I walked him back to his body, killing a couple of ghostly spider spawns and two of the other spawns, getting me a whole 25% of this heart complete. However, when I got him back to his body, he asked me to wake him, but I could not do so. This Heart event is bugged in multiple ways, and it would be peachy keen if A-Net could set aside a little time to give it a look see. 3 months seems a bit of a wait for getting this bug fixed.

There is a heart in Hellion Forrest (Iron Marches) that is bugged on yaks bend. “Fight life stealing minions in Hellion Forrest” has a number of issues which makes the heart take a lot longer to do than it probably normally should.

1. only 1 logger is alive.
2. displaced spirits (apart from not looking like spirits) don’t go back to their bodies like their dialogue suggests they will.
3. 2 displaced spirits are up a tree and out of range to interact
4. dead loggers have no way to raise them (since their spirits are not returning to them).
5. Only 1 shadow fiend appears (at the only alive logger) occasionally
6. Only 1 displaced spirit appears (after a shadow fiend defeats the only logger) to do what they are meant to do and trigger 2 ghostly spiders.

To make progress you either just have to camp the only shadow fiend spawn and keep killing it (slow progress), or let the shadow fiend kill the only logger and then interact with its spirit to kill the ghostly spiders + shadow fiend x2.

Please fix

Bugged – no ghosts. Disenchanted spirits will not go to their body. Most are stuck in trees. No possible way to complete. Understand this is bugged for 2 months from other boards. Cannot complete the map without this.
Also, if I recollect during beta, their was supposed to be an event by the house but in an hour, nothing happened.

As you may know, if you see the dead charrs on the ground you can’t just simply revive them. Well, this is where being a ranger comes in handy. If you use the skill “Search and Rescue” it will revive them. After I revived them all, it debugged it for me.

I hope this helps the fellow rangers complete it! Sorry if you’re not a ranger.

it is possible to complete the logger heart quest but because only one logger is attacked it takes a while. Didn’t see if any post this bug: the devourers near the Searing Calderon skill challenge just sit near unless provoked.

Fight Life-Stealing Minions in Hellion Forest

You’re supposed to talk to Charr spirits and lead them back to their bodies. Unfortunately, they are not spirits, but quite alive. So when you talk to them, instead of them walking off to their dead bodies, they just stand there and do nothing. There is merely one functioning Charr spirit in the whole area. Also, the linked event in the area is broken.

Well anyway, the “Displaced Spirits” are bugged. Some are so displaced, they’re all the way up in the trees.

The Hellion Forest renown heart is still broken as of Feb 4th. Same issues, except even the single logger being “attacked” doesn’t even die now, and you can’t kill the shadow.

This saved my day, not a ranger myself but you can use Signet of Mercy as a Guardian to do the same thing

I can confirm this heart is completely bugged on Tarnished Coast. Only one logger working “correctly”.

On iron marches map, a couple of displaced spirits seem to like getting up (or even inside) trees!

Blackgate is bugged too.

Gandara Server. Heart still bugged, unable to complete. Very annoying. If it’s something that has been bugged for so many months, why not just remove the heart?

Kill the ghostly spiders and shadow fiends attacking loggers.
Help lost spirits return to their bodies.

Problem description:
Task is not working, there are no ghostly spiders and shadow fiends.
Loggers are already dead on the ground or hanging in trees, because of this players are unable to complete this “heart task”.

Tarnished Coast.

Hellion Forest quest still bugged and cannot complete.

There’s really no excuse for this. This heart and event have been bugged since release and they still have never been fixed to 100%. You’ve had almost 6 months to “investigate” this issue and patience is wearing thin.

Still bugged on Crystal Desert, though I did see one player with a ghost. So ‘mostly bugged.’

Perhaps it would be more effective for you guys to remove this from map completion requirements until you can find a fix. Apparently 6 months isnt long enough to fix this, but it is long enough for me to lose interest in this game.

Today i got in the forest and the only spirit i saw was this one. Anyone got better luck ?

Every sever huh? Well, its in Tarnished coast as well! So I’m not going to get that done anytime soon anywhere. Might as well just do the story or something.

This place is STILL bugged, there is no way to complete the heart in a decent amount of time, i can’t find any ghostly spiders or shadow fiends to kill, oh i found one spirit after 20 min of searching, stuck up a tree………….thing place needs debugged

Still broke as of 2/12/13, 8:30pm est.

There is only one spirit available and when I talk to him, I have no option to help him.
He only tells me that when he gets back to his body, I must wake him up. But he does not go to his body and just stands around.
Very annoying when busy completing the world.

I have no problem with the heart in that area + event. I’ve found that sometimes she gets to 0% health, however won’t die – Simply by talking to the scholar, he should go and finish her off.
