Guild Wars 2

I sent a ticket in on this some time ago…thought I’d post it here as well Whenever I use the Swoop skill for my Ranger,the bird with flapping wings over my head never goes away or stops once the rush is completed….. I can move around normally and do anything but that annoying bird is still there.. This happens quite a few times a day when I play.. Only logging out and logging back in fixes it…which I shouldn’t have to do… Hoping Anet sees this here since the number of tickets submitted is probably so overwhelming that mine got lost in the shuffle… Anyone else have this bug happen to them?

This has been around for 6+ months. We still haven’t got any feedback despite a dozen or more threads about it. Swapping weapons doesn’t help nor does un-equipping the greatsword. I know this is not a player-side issue as I have seen many other Rangers running around stuck in this same animation. Only relogging or a loading screen seem to solve it for a bit.

Yea, also the shark u get from the spear Dart (#3) can get stuck on you forever. I also seen it happen on other classes like eternal flame breathing on eles lol.

I had the same thing happen to me. I used ‘dodge’ to fix it.

Oh, is that what that bird is. I saw it once over this guy months ago. I reported it as some weird graphics glitch, which it was but I thought it was from my computer. He couldn’t see it but I could. (Shrug).

That’s an Attack Bird. This thread is referring to the Falcon animation from the Ranger’s Swoop skill on the greatsword.

Happens often and there have been many other times when other people can see it on me but I can’t see it.

Lol, I realize that. But if we are bringing bird bugs with Rangers to the QA team’s attention, maybe they could fix both at the same time! =)

Lol, I realize that. But if we are bringing bird bugs with Rangers to the QA team’s attention, maybe they could fix both at the same time! =)

Indeed, but I think we should stick with BABY STEPS for improving the Ranger and fixing bugs. We don’t want to overwhelm them and have them throw their hands into the air and give up on a profession they obviously don’t care much about. Mesmers already tried the ‘barrage method’ and look where they’re at now…
