The Grenth event chain on Blackgate has been broken for a solid week. I have reported it, and it’s still broken. The problem is, it’s not broken in the typical manner, but in a manner that is easily exploitable for massive amounts of loot.

On the step where the cannon is being constructed, the NPC that builds it is missing, but the mob spawns are still going and have never slower down. I know multiple people that have been farming this bug for the last week and have made obscene amounts of money. I figured, if it’s not fixed (or at least disabled) in the last week, I may as well take advantage of it.

I did so for a whole twenty minutes before getting worried that I may eat a suspension for exploiting.

So, here’s the question along with a second reporting of the issue: Am I going to get in trouble for this?

There’s people who found the “recipe” for Legendary precursor weapons and made several thousand gold off of that. I highly doubt you’ll be punished for killing mobs from a bugged event.

Well the safe answer is, if you have to ask that question then you probably shouldn’t do it.

On the other hand it sounds like DR would kick in anyway.

Like I said, I stopped after 20 minutes, but there are dozens of people farming it and constantly telling everyone about it / arguing that there’s nothing wrong with it.
