Guild Wars 2

So I lost a stack of transmutation stones because I forgot to take it off a character and deleted that character.

The only issue is that it probably could have been prevented if 1) I paid more attention and 2) I was able to create separate stacks. World of Warcraft has this, Star Wars Galaxies had it, I believe even SWTOR has it.

I’m not going to dispute the fact I should have paid more attention and I am not going to bug the GMs about losing it because I already know the response will be that they have no power to give it back at the moment, etc. That’s not what I am disputing, but what I am disputing is whether or not this feature of creating separate stacks SHOULD have been added already. It helps with the trading post, organizing mats, and will help to prevent issues like what I had accidentally done.

This feature just makes sense, but perhaps I just don’t know how to activate it. Maybe I am just missing something and it does exist but I just don’t know how, so I’ll ask here: Is there a way to separate stacks? And if not…please add it in, it’s a basic feature which many MMOs already use and it’s quite useful.
