Or do you have to glide in a certain spot?

I just got the ley line gliding mastery today and did dragon stand later and I used the ley lines to get the spider queen hp and during the mouth fight yet I didn’t get this achievement even though the achievement just says that you have to use the ley lines to glide in Dragon’s Stand

To get the Ley Line Glider achievement, you need to get to the Ley Line Overlook point of interest. It doesn’t matter how you get there.

I’ve unlocked that point of interest on three separate characters, and I still have that achievement locked. So, I think the wiki might be wrong on tha tnote.

No idea, as I have no experience with Ley Line Gliding, nor that particular PoI. Actually, I don’t know whether I’ve ever unlocked it, or not.

If you believe the Wiki is incorrect, it would behoove all to update it.
