Issue infusing an existing infusion
There’s your problem. The amulet, House of the Tylos, doesn’t even exist. So unless you misread your amulet’s name (making it impossible for me to look up what type of infusion slot it has, and answer your question intelligently.)
Then you’ve got more problems than just not being able to socket your equipment. You have an item the rest of us in GW2 clearly don’t have access to.
I have worked for quite a while now and gotten all of my ascended gear from Fractals. The problem is that I have AR in my House of the Tylos Amulet slot. I bought a utility infusion (gilded) and I cannot place the infusion in it because AR is in it. It just wont let me.
In every other piece of gear in PvE you can stick a new infusion or trait in the gear even after it has one in it. You lose the existing one, but gain the new one.
Because of this situation I now have to unfairly grind again to work to get the piece I already have. Please fix the game for infusions to replace existing infusions in ascended gear like every other piece of pve gear.

Do you mean Mark of the Tethyos Houses?
If so, the issue is that amulet has an offensive infusion slot, not a utility slot.
