I just don’t know what went wrong. :/

What is your question?
(1) Are in a guild, and do you want to know why the games says you “are not in a guild”?
(2) Or are you not in a guild, and wondering why the game suddenly reports this fact to you?

In case of (1), it need not be a bug.
- Are you representing any guild you are a member of? Press G and check which guild (if any) you are representing. (Clicking “stand down” means that you stop representing any guild.)
- Did you recently create the character as an alt? Whenever you create a character, that character is not representing any guilds, even though your other characters may. People tend to forget this if they rarely play their alts.

In case of (2), the issue is different. Whenever you type “/g” in chat (just the two chracters, without pressing return), the game attempts to access your guild chat channel. If you are not representing a guild, however, this means that no guild chat is available to you, resulting in that message.

Restarting the game fixed it for me.
