I see a thread or three about the quest “The Hatchery” and I see as well that there is no ETA for when the fix will go live.

Considering there is a build pretty much every week, I’m not sure I understand why this can’t be pushed out with the next one.

May I ask someone to explain? I am not as eager to criticize as some (being in software development and having worked in game development in the past)… all the same, it isn’t that hard to add this fix to the weekly build or at least place a triggered spawn to allow players to progress in the storyline.

Yes, I know, you can skip it and come back later. But that’s really not the point. For folk like me, who enjoy following the story, reading the content and enjoying it, and not being in such a hot rush to level cap, etc… it kind of feels like a brick wall.

Would be nice to gain insight to the thinking.

No, actually, the support is great, you’re all just sour that you can’t have your fancy toys right away. There’s no appreciation for ANet’s quality assurance processes here, and while they drag out the process of getting fixes live, they’re necessary. Working in the business of software development myself, I can safely say that the QA process is unquestionably necessary for the proper enhancement and development of a software like a video game. Read Jeff’s post; there is a fix finished, coded, and implemented, it just needs to be thoroughly tested before it can go live. It will be live when it’s ready, now please do something else besides complain until then!
